Step 1: Use 100% acetone to strip off glue in hair extensions. Notice that nail polish remover is not applicable in this case because it is just acetone-based. If you use that, it is more difficult to remove the glue.

Step 2: Wear medical gloves before you start taking off the glue of hair wefts in case you got sensitive or vulnerable skin. Moreover, you may need to use a bath towel to take in all the exceed spills and splashes.

Step 3: Carefully pour the acetone over the weft you hold in hand. Only pour on the track part and try to keep the acetone away from other parts on the hair extensions. Since it can provoke a dry and tangle feature to your hair when contacting it. 

You can pour the acetone sections by sections or do along the whole track, it is depending on what you think which will work well on you.

Leave the acetone in for 1 to 3 minutes to break the bond of the glue. At first, the glue will become stiff and hard, then after that, you can do take it off from the weft.

Step 4: Use a bath towel to rub along the track gently to absorb excess acetone. Rub at the glue of your hair extension then it will gradually remove from the track.

How to remove glue in hair extensions with heat?

Step 1: Pick up a thin towel or a piece of your old cloth made of cotton. Do not use things made from polyester, silk, and spandex.

Wear medical gloves before you start taking off the glue of hair wefts in case you got sensitive or vulnerable skin.

Step 2: Let’s use your hair straightener. Then, turn it on a pinch. The heat, in this case, is the principal factor. Leave your flat iron in a few minutes for heating up.

Step 3: Put your thin towel or cloth you have prepared over the glue of your hair extension. Place over sections by sections, from 7 to 10 inches for each in length. Make sure it prevails over the back of your extensions and lard the glued part among the cloth.

Step 4: Keeps the hair straighter closed to the glue, leave it on the cloth your cover your glued part. The heat will gradually remove the glue on the weft. When the heat contacts the cloth, it will heat the glue. If the glue becomes observable, it means it is working well.

How to remove glue in hair extensions with baby oil?

Oil can easily break the glue bond and it is also an affordable way on how to remove glue in hair extensions at home. 

Step 1: Apply almond, olive, or baby oil to the weft, leave it in for about 15 minutes for absorbing. 

Step 2: Then use an old towel or clothes to strip the glue away from the track. Repeat this step until you have got rid off all the glue. This method also can be used in any case such as glue accidentally stick to your hair.

Besides almond, olive, or baby oil, you can use Coconut oil and grapeseed oil as well.

How to remove glue in hair extensions with conditioner?

Step 1: Wet your hair. 

Step 2: Apply an appropriate amount of hair conditioner on your hair, especially under the glued part. This is to make the adhesive be softened. 

Step 3: Use an old towel or cloth to cover your hair up and leave it in for about 20 minutes.

Step 4: Rinse out as you always do. After that use a comb to break and remove the glue bond. Repeat until the glue is taken off completely.
