Today when searching for the best way to cover your head, you are likely to come across the term, hair system or hair replacement system. This is the all-encompassing name that the hair industry is now leaning towards to refer to hair, be it human or synthetic, attached to some kind of base that is usually worn by a person to mask partial or full hair loss. This partial hairpiece is usually held in place with two-sided special tape or liquid toupee glue and blends with existing hair on the sides and back of the head. Typically men use toupees more than women, due to the coverage needed for male pattern baldness.

A good quality toupee made to match the wearer’s natural hair as closely as possible. The best ones made from human hair, although toupees made from synthetic materials or animal hair are available. A professional stylist who has experience attaching a toupee consulted to attach it. The user’s scalp and to remove it when it needs to replace. Metal clips maybe use to attach a toupee, but this is not as secure as using a glue to keep it in place.

Hairpiece

In contrast to a wig/wiglet, hair pieces designed for various kinds of coverage. Hair extensions, toupees, head-wraps, and bangs are all types of hair pieces.
